I don't mind exposition at all. I like having material about the early days for the boys and how they became so close. Even with Jensen's abusive home life it wasn't a one way street. Jensen was also a strong support for Jared when he needed one.
Now, if Jensen will just decide that he needs Jared to share the room so he can sleep better......
But what on earth is happening over at fanfiction.net?

It looks like the start of a wonderful vacation. But Jensen sure seems oblivious to the fact that his best friend is in love with him. He also seems to be pretty sure he's straight. Looking forward to how Jared changes his mind. :)
One thing you might consider is getting a beta reader. I'm finding several spelling and grammar errors that are slightly distracting.

Oh dear, I am so sorry about the illnesses and surgeries your family has been through. Top that with end of semester studies and work and I'm impressed you got around to doing this.
Loved the sleepy boys on the plane and rambling Jared.
