Well that was a lovely interlude. From Sam adoring Dean as he slept, to Dean worshipping Sam in the shower.
It was so hurtful for Sam to have even more proof of just how much he'd been manipulated. But it did lead to my favorite bit with Dean kissing away Sam's tears.
And I loved the humor of Sam going all Xenia Onatopp on Dean during the phone call with Bobby.

Fantastic installment. They really can't function properly without each other. This was so sad but lovely when Sam appeared, just as broken as Dean. Great story.

Hehe, I'm actually not familiar with the subject matter. It's one of those things I like to write3read about but wouldn't try in real life. It takes a level of trust I'll never have in anyone and a willingness to experience pain I simply don't have (I wince when I get my eyebrows done, lol). I take it as a compliment though. It means that I did my job because you think I know what I'm talking about :D

It was cathartic to see Ruby pay for her crimes. Hopefully this will help with the healing our boys still need .

Holy crackers! I'd gotten so caught up in the boys' healing that I'd forgotten Ruby is still alive in your verse. But it sounds like that's about to change.
{Dean’s struggle to understand what was so innately wrong with him that, no matter how much he gave, he was still worthless to those he was devoted to}
My heart breaks for Dean every time this is alluded to in Supernatural.
Author's Response: I kept Ruby alive because she's has a part to play in the boys' twisted therapy sessions.
I know what you mean about Dean. My heart breaks for him too. Demons are constantly telling him that noone cares about him, that he's worthless, but not because it's true. They know he believes it already and the bastards like to hit where it hurts. Thanks for the comment :)

Wow. They came awfully close to losing this. Dean is still carrying a LOT of anger. Justified certainly, but he needs to start letting it go. For his own sake even more so than for Sam.
